چکیده
Abstract Background Candida species is considered one of the normal inhabitant commensal microbiota human body. However, it can also act as an opportunistic pathogen especially in hospitals (nosocomial infection) and among immunocompromised patients. The accurate, precise, rapid reliable identification to level great importance for control management candidiasis. Results One hundred eighteen different samples were collected (59 urine samples, 39 oral swabs, 5 vaginal swabs 15 skin swabs) from patients (diabetics—pregnant women—patients underwent organ transplantation—cancer patients—burned wounded patients) probable existence species. Eighty-six out 118 (72.8%) typed macroscopically microscopically found be Upon streaking 86 isolates on CHROMagar plates separately, 48 gave green colonies, 25 rose 10 white 2 pale coloured colonies 1 isolate blue colonies. Forty-eight showed positive Germ tube test. CHROMagar Candida is a new chromogenic culture medium that is used for the isolation and direct identification of some of the most clinically important yeast pathogens on the basis of colony colour. The aim of the study was to isolate and identify Candida species from the oral cavity with CHROMagar Candida. Samples (158) from 68 orthodontic patients wearing upper removable orthodontic applianc...

متن کاملIdentification of Candida Species Isolated from Hospitalized Patients with Candiduria
Background and objectives: The incidence of candiduria caused by Candida spp. has increased in recent years, particularly in hospitalized patients. Candiduria is most commonly caused by Candida albicans; however, an increase in the prevalence of non-albicans species has been observed during last decades. This study aimed at molecular identification of Candida species isolated from candiduria in...

Background: Mycoplasma is one of the most important pathogens of respiratory system in poultry. OBJECTIVES: The aim of the present study was to identify Mycoplasma spp. isolated from pigeons. METHODS: Sixteen pooled samples were provided and cultured on PPLO medium and finally the DNA was extracted from the resulting single colonies. RESULTS: Through 16S rRNA gene amplification Mycoplasma genus...

Background: Yeasts are increasingly implicated in serious systemic infections. The aim of this study was to identify Candida albicans and C. dubliniensis from isolates of immunocompromised patients and evaluate the in vitro antifungal activities of them against antifungal agents. Methods: One hundred and seventy eight C. albicans were isolated by routine methods from 403 immunocompromised patie...
